Today I am giving you a picture puzzle with four questions. Who is the heroine? Who is the hero? I mean occupation, role in the story, personality - whatever you want to include. I don't mean the identity of the person in the picture. What decade or year does the story take place? Where is it--the setting of the story, either the state, region, or building?
For guessing, you earn an extra chance at a book. For each correct answer, you get an extra chance.
P.S. To win, you have to leave your email address in your comment.
Who is my heroine? What year is it? Use the top two pictures to decide. |
Who is my hero? What is his relationship with the heroine? Use two middle pictures. |
Where is the story located? Both geography and type of building. Use bottom 2 pictures. |

Dana, that's great, (and you are entered). But there are four questions. Try all four! And I'm not asking for a name but a career, interest, whatever. It's really pretty obvious. :)
Just saying hi so I get one entry. Making lunch now, hopefully will get back for the puzzle later.
Well, I would say she's a figure skater. A pairs figure skater, with a male partner. They probably met at a rink as kids somewhere in the country.
That's my own opinion, of course.
Writers and readers: You have answered two questions. Want to try where and when? I can't tell you if you're correct, yet.
Oh duh. He's her partner/fellow figure skater. And they met when they trained for the Olympics. That's my best guess, anyway.
As for *when* . . . in the 1960s?
She is an Olympic skater in the 1920's. He is a male skater for the Olympics and he is her skating partner. Takes place at the Olympics and in Pennsylvania.

I think the decade is the 50's. A skater named Janet Lynn or Peggy Fleming comes to mind. Hero is her dancing or skating partner? And I think Lake Placid may be the location?
P.S. - Great answers! But a reminder - I need your email address to let you know if you've won!
Sorry pat@bytherart.net repost of my guesses: She is an Olympic skater in the 1920's. He is a male skater for the Olympics and he is her skating partner. Takes place at the Olympics and in Pennsylvania.
Can't really say, since I already know...giggle, giggle. What a fun contest!!! Whoever wins will be blessed by one of your fantastic books!
Waving hi, Carla, thanks for stopping by!
I am going to say they are figure skaters and Olympic hopefuls and that they are sweethearts. I believe that it is during the Depression.Maybe they are from Minnesota.
Cheryl, I'm impressed! I'll tell you more tomorrow when I see you.
I am going to say they are figure skaters and Olympic hopefuls.I think thy are sweethearts and believe it's during The Great Depression and they may b from Minnesota. I think it will make a good book.
I would guess that the heroine is a figure skater and the hero is her partner. I will guess 1930's Lake Placid, New York in a mill house and/or something to do with the Olympics.

Hmmmm. I'm going to take a guess and I will probably be wrong, but here it goes.
I'm guessing the person is Sonia Henie and this is the 1932 Lake Placid, New York Winter Olympics. The hero is her skating partner.
Well I gave it a try and love the picture puzzles.

Katie, Thanks for guessing! I will remind you that I am not looking for the identity of the person in the picture, but for the character she might represent in the story. Her occupation, interests, etc.
Hmmm, the skater in the pic could possibly be Sonja Heine (sp)a famous skater when I was a little girl. I think she was from Sweden. Probably at the Olympics in the 30's. He is her skating partner. I need to return to the page and look at the other pics.....This is fun!!! I love puzzles.

Career - ice skater...partner of female skater. Olympics. The building appears like a European barn - that will be revealed in the story. Beautiful mountains in the background. Thanks for this unique giveaway and the chance to win a great read.

Oh this is hard, and I am SO bad at this, but I'll give it a shot! LOL!
Who is the heroine? She is a fabulous skater. She is outgoing and strong. But maybe she has trust issues? (I don't know but that would be a good twist! LOL!)
I'm terrible at guessing years. UMMMM...1954? LOL!
Who is the hero? He is a good natured, character that likes to joke around. He is a pairs skater that has come to help the heroine.
Their relationship is strained at first but grows stronger as they work together.
For some reason I'm thinking Switzerland? In an old flour mill? Is that completly wrong? LOL!
Okay so...I probably went into WAY too much detail here and am completely wrong, but I had fun! So thank you for reading my crazy answers! ;)

I'm having so much fun reading everyone's answers! Amada, I love the detail you gave. You're the only one to guess at the hero and heroine's personalities, and I love that.
My only frustration is that I can't tell people where they're right or wrong . . . not yet. Because anyone who answers later will know what the correct answers are, LOL, and that wouldn't be fair.
